  • Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
  • Location: 100% on site in Mendota Heights
  • Type: Temp to hire on permanent
  • Pay: $22-$24/hr depending on experience level

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, and patient authorizations accurately in accordance with payer requirements and company policies.
  • Enter facility payables and billing information into the accounting system with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Assist with the preparation and reconciliation of monthly billing and accounts receivable reports.
  • Verify insurance eligibility, coverage details, and effective dates for current and former patients.
  • Maintain billing analysis reports and ensure all records remain accurate and up to date.
  • Prepare insurance and patient remittances for data entry and processing.
  • Monitor required billing documentation and communicate with appropriate team members regarding missing or overdue information.
  • Support collections efforts by tracking outstanding balances, resubmitting claims as needed, and escalating delinquent accounts.
  • Maintain organized and compliant accounts receivable and billing records.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with healthcare facilities, insurance payers, vendors, and internal team members.
  • Provide timely reporting and documentation to accounting and finance leadership.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in healthcare billing, medical data entry, accounts receivable, or a related healthcare administrative role.
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience working with health insurance claims, authorizations, or reimbursement processes preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with vendors, payers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently.
  • Strong work ethic with a professional and customer-focused approach.
